Blake's 13th Birthday

Blake turned the BIG 13 this year. It was a lazy Saturday and we just spent time together as a family. We have started a tradition that when it is your birthday you get to pick where we will go out for dinner.  It is funny some of the places that they pick.  Donnie and I tell them they can go anywhere they choose (somewhere fancy) but they choose McDonalds or Rupes.  I love those places but I wish they would pick a nice expensive place on their birthday. Anyways, Blake picked Chilis this year and we had a lot of fun. Grandpa Lindsay was able to come with us and it was really nice. Blake also choose to have a cheese cake for his birthday and that is what he got.  He also received a candy bouquet, which he loved because he loves candy.  I think is ate half of it himself (which is fine with me). Blake is a super great kid, here are some things that make him special in our family.
1. He helpful around the house
2. He is great at soccer and football
3. He is an amazing student
4. Still loves to read
5. He is a great friend
6. Will still give mom and dad hugs (sometimes to delay going to bed)
7. Loves to make people laugh
8. Is almost as tall as his mother (but I can still take him)
9. Loves to eat food especially sweets
10. Is doing great a scout and is a good example for his brothers
We love Blake very much and I'm so proud to be his mother. He has accomplished so much and I know that he will do great things in his life.
