We have lived in our home for 8 years and have never had the rain as bad as it was last week. I was a little worried and sent the boys down in the window well to bucket out some water to make sure that we would not get flooded. There were many people in Blackfoot that had floods in their homes and some of the people lived right by us. The rain filled the street and the neighbors said they have never seen it that way ever. After the rain and the worry passed, I sent the boys outside the play in the water. Every kid needs to experience playing in the street and riding their bikes through the water. Of course, after and while they were cold and ready for warms baths but I'm so glad that they got to experience that. I do feel really bad for all the homes that were affected by it but glad it wasn't me.
