Saturday was the Rain Gutter Regatta and Carter was really excited because it was his first Scout Pack meeting that he was able to attend.  Donnie and the boys worked on their boats all week long and finished them on Friday night just in time.  Both boys did a great job and I sure that they had a great time.  Blake took 1st over all and Carter took 3rd over all.  I think that by the time Nash is in Scouts we will have everything down pretty good.

The boys got trophies made out of candy bars, juice, and a ding dong.  And then awards from rope licorice and a ding dong.  It was a lot of fun.

Blake got a big trophy for taking 1st place.  We were hoping that he would wear it to church but he ending up not doing it.
After that we took the boys to the pumpkin patch and they got to pick out what pumpkin they get this year.  Blake's is getting bigger ever year.  It is going to take him a while to get all the guts out of it to carve it this year.  I love doing this tradition, it is always something fun that we all look forward too.

You just can't imagine (well, some day you will) what it does to a mom's heart to see her children raising their families and building memories and traditions on their own. Katie I am so grateful for you in all our lives and I am eternally grateful for you in my son's life. Love you and love those boys! See you in a couple-a-weeks!
